With the support of the Illinois COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund, The Illinois Coalition of Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR) and YWCA Northwestern Illinois will be able to provide emergency assistance funds to immigrant families affected by the COVID-19 crisis.
These funds are currently available to help low-income, limited English proficient immigrants who are not eligible for the federal stimulus package, unemployment insurance and/or public benefits.
The funds will go quickly and will be given out on a first come first serve basis. The application process will close when we are unable to provide any more assistance; however, we are working on securing more funds to assist more families, so please check back from time to time if the application is not active. There is a lot of need right now and we are having difficulty keeping up with the demands but we are committed to helping as many families as we can during these trying times.
DUE TO OVERWHELMING RESPONSE, WE HAD TO STOP ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS. WE WILL BE PROCESSING APPLICATIONS RECEIVED IN THE ORDER THEY CAME IN. WE WILL RE-OPEN THE APPLICATION IF WE RECEIVE ADDITIONAL FUNDS.
