Partner Abuse Intervention Program

YWCA’s Partner Abuse Intervention Program (PAIP) is designed to help participants recognize and understand their abusive behaviors and refrain from engaging in them. Through education and support, individuals who have committed acts of domestic violence are taught alternative methods of communicating with their partners and begin to build relationships that allow for open and respectful communication and trust.

Classes are offered in Spanish and English, in a group setting. Our program meets State protocols for domestic violence programming and we are an authorized PAIP provider by the Department of Human Services and the local court system.

Who should take these classes?

PAIP provides services for people who control their partner through:

  • Coercion & Threats
  • Economic (financial) abuse
  • Emotional abuse
  • Physical abuse
  • Sexual abuse
  • Verbal abuse

Enrollment is court ordered as well as open to the public.
