Yes! In 2015, La Voz Latina merged with the YWCA and began operating as a department of YWCA Northwestern Illinois. La Voz Latina’s Executive Director, Luz Ramirez, assumed the role of Chief Administrative Officer at YWCA Northwestern Illinois. This merger allowed La Voz programming to extend beyond the Hispanic population while offering a more holistic approach to family stability by utilizing other YWCA programs to wrap around families in a single setting.
