WHAT WE DO
YWCA Programs
Since 1891, YWCA Northwestern Illinois has upheld an unwavering dedication to the mission, “eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.” We continuously adjust to the emerging needs of the six counties we serve: Boone, Jo Daviess, McHenry, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago. In 2010, we were the recipient of the Rockford Register Star’s Excelsior Award; and in 2013, were honored for excellence in racial justice programming by YWCA USA.
